Set in the underbelly of rural Pakistan, *The Rooster and the Boy* follows Asif, a 14-year-old servant boy caught in an underground world of rooster fighting, child exploitation, and class brutality.

When his prized red rooster loses a fight and is marked for slaughter, Asif rebels — stealing the rooster and escaping into the night. Taken in by a blind ex-fighter named Adnan, Asif trains to outsmart the ruthless system that enslaved him.
